A creation of the Early Middle English Society with a grant from the NEH, the Archive of Early Middle English will allow readers to access Early Middle English texts and manuscript editions, and digital images online. Beginning with two manuscripts, Oxford, Bodleian Library, Laud Misc. 108 and Oxford, Bodleian Library, Junius 1, the Archive will scan, transcribe, and encode these manuscripts and provide information on the names, places, and unique features of each one. AEME is meant to be a resource to the public, a way for people worldwide to reach the works of the Early Middle English period that have not become widely known. This Tumblr will have posts on the progress of the project, the manuscripts, the literature, the period, and anything readers can think to ask about AEME.
